Since the first job website went live 15 years ago, they have been the number one way companies hire staff online. It is big business with Indeed now being the number 1 job website in the world with revenue of $3,000,000,000 a year, it is certainly big business. Also Indeed revenue model is different from most. Most job websites you pay per job post. For example Reed or Total Jobs charge around $100 for one job advert. This can actually be a really low cost in comparison to outsourcing the position to recruitment agencies.

However Indeed run a pay per click model which can actually cost less but most times costs a lot more. Their free job adverts do very little to actually bring in candidates with only the first 3-5 days bringing in traffic to your advert before it drops down the ranking.

I developed a free job website, called Hunterr.io which is started as a language job board operating across the UK and Europe. But has now attracted companies that are posting jobs in all sectors all across the world.

I began the website out of the pandemic where I found a lot of people were looking for work and without restricting companies who have large hiring budgets I wanted to make it free for all companies to post job opportunities for free.
